Bon Mot Press
Over my decades of teaching creative writing (Writing Ranch, Artists-in-the-Schools, The Nature of Words, OSU Cascade’s Low Residency MFA) the Writing Ranch has published numerous anthologies of students’ work using a collaborative press model whereby the workshop fee, teaching budget or author(s) helped facilitate the publication. I recently decided to formalize the concept—not only officially naming the press but also establishing it as an imprint of the Writing Ranch. By doing so, books published by Bon Mot will benefit from distribution through a variety of bookstores as well as Amazon. The January 2026 release As Far as I Can Anthem, my fifth poetry title, constitutes the exciting launch of this collaborative press to be. Here’s to Bon Mot’s robust future.
